Baby Mourning Doves...

I have been meaning to post these pictures for a couple of weeks now and here they are.

We had some mourning doves make a home on top of one of our gutters. The 2 baby doves became too big for the nest so they decided to hang out on the lattace right outside our kitchen window. They were there for about 5 days.

Kincaid and Corrine just loved it. The would stand there and watch these doves for hours. They also got to see the mommy dove feed the babies. Kind of yucky, but cool for them to learn. We bought worms and put them out for the mommy. It was just so cool I had to share it.

What a wonderful learning adventure for the kidlings! Its great to live so close to where they can observe nature. Makes them appreciate it all the more.

I like your blog.
I never thought I'd be a bird person, then we took in a baby crow. Check out my blog for some of my Crow Baby stories.
