Fun Monday-late due to twittering--i am a twitter addict!

Our lovely host at For The Long Run would like us to tell everyone our favorite site...the website we just can't live with out. The site that has changed our life...
This is a hard one for me...I use sssssssssoooooooooo many sites.
But I think I am going to have to choose B5 Media. It is the network co-founded by Darren Rowse, Jeremy Wright, Shia Coggins. I think there are over 300 blogs that are a part of this network.
I choose B5 Media as my favorite site because the majority of the blog I frequent are a part of this network. Plus, I just couldn't choose. Without many blogs on the B5 network, I would not be able to learn to write, learn to blog, make money blogging, or even have a voice in the blogging world.
Now lets go see who else is loving the internet!

Our Land Rover Has a Boo-Boo

So my hubby was driving to work yesterday when he kind of slid out of control. He went, 40 mph, over a curb, into the ditch, out of the ditch, into the ditch again.

He did get himself out on his own and he continued on his merry way to work.

But right before he got to work, the 2 front tires blew out, the two front wheels pretty much came off, and the axel broke...yea...it was a bad day all around.

Who new???

Hello Again!

Thanks Kerith for having me as your guest. I love your blogs. I think Kerith is fantastic and her energy is equally as fantastic. Just love it!

So back to my original thought of "who new". So I was reading my Parents magazine last night and did everyone know that once a toy is RECALLED it is only ILLEGAL to sell in 8 states. The states are Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Rhode Island, New Jersey and Vermont. I had no idea and I was really angry because I live in NEW YORK.
What if I missed the memo on a certain toy? What if one of my kids received a gift and that person missed the memo??. What if a retailer misses the memo and poor communication and they allow the recalled toy on the shelves???

So Parents Magazine suggest that if anyone lives in a state that allows recalled products to be sold, people ban together and write your state legislature to complain. The more people you have sign a list the better you are.

If you have Parents magazine, read the Editors letter to learn more.

So BAN together if you can....and write. I plan on getting it going for NEW YORK.

Have You Met My New Guest Blogger?

Well, her name is Yvette Segal and she is the creator of My Kids Registry. This is a site for parents and gardians to plan their kids parties and have wish lists for those parties.

I think this is a fantastic idea. Adults have registries for everything--weddings, house warming, having kids--but no registry for the actual kids.

One of the things that is cool about this site is that you can schedule a party, choose the gifts for the registry, and invite people with e-cards. But there is also the connecting and getting to know new friends part about the site also. You have your own profile and you can make mini-profiles for your kids, pets, hubbys, etc. You can have a blog there and join or create groups. But anyway...I love the group...

She "claims" to not be a blogger but I think she is doing great! And I also think she is slowly getting addicted because not only does she have her blog at My Kids Registry, she has started one here at blogger and is guest posting in mine. She will have this blogging thing down in no time. But lets all welcome her and bring her over to the bloggy side.

MY happy Day

I am Kerith's guest blogger. HELLO !

Had a great day that I just wanted to share.

O.K. MY HAPPY DAY.....It really started first thing this morning at 7:30 am to the tune of happy wails, coming from the room next door. BLAAAAHHHH BLAAAHHHHHH....my sleeping beauty was awake. I sluggishly walked in with a faint smile "How is my beautiful little girl?" She laughs and plays hide and seek.

NEXT...my prince. I go in his room and say "can I sleep with you?" He says "you are the best mom and yes you can sleep with me but lets go downstairs and have some waffles!"

We all chow down & get my prince off to school. My nerves started to take over b/c in two short hours I was scheduled to read to my son's class. Just want to please my boy and make him proud.

I arrived with a big stuffed bear(part of my skit) and my new favorite book "Sam's Worries" and then as a little treat "Green Eggs and Ham" . Sam's Worries is my new favorite b/c my prince has been waking up in the middle of the night from scary dreams. In the book, Sam's teddy bear strikes a deal with him allowing the bear to do all the worrying while Sam sleeps. Since reading this book, he has slept through the night for three nights in a row. When we finish the book, we prop my sons big bear at the edge of the bed and talk to him like Sam talks to his bear in the book. It's amazing that it has been working.

I had so much fun reading to his class. The pride, excitement and love I saw in my son's eyes was the best feeling. I shared his feelings 1000 times over. He was so happy that I was there. His classmates were equally excited.AMAZING!!!

Then Lunch

Then the Park with his play date (A beautiful little girl named Sophia) and my beautiful little girl.

Then Home

It was a perfect day for me(wait a minute...a nice lottery win would have really capped it off) but really...a day that made me appreciate all that I have! Sometimes it is so easy to forget but not today.
