Oh My Gosh...
I am so behind on my blogging. I didn't realize it was close to a month since I last posted. And this one will have to be short due to non-listening kids. But I just wanted to post a few pictures of Kincaid's first day of Kindergarten...
Kincaid didn't want to go to bed at a normal-school time. He learned real quick just how tired he could be and just how annoying mom could be with her camera and flash.
Kincaid wanted a goofy school picture...this was the best one. So here is Kinciad's first day of school--goofy style!
And here is the picture I wanted--Kincaid's first day of school--normal style. And there is Corrine--wishing she could join her big brother at school.

Baby Mourning Doves...
I have been meaning to post these pictures for a couple of weeks now and here they are.
We had some mourning doves make a home on top of one of our gutters. The 2 baby doves became too big for the nest so they decided to hang out on the lattace right outside our kitchen window. They were there for about 5 days.
Kincaid and Corrine just loved it. The would stand there and watch these doves for hours. They also got to see the mommy dove feed the babies. Kind of yucky, but cool for them to learn. We bought worms and put them out for the mommy. It was just so cool I had to share it.

Bubble day--Grandparent's Style
So my parents dropped on in last Sunday...almost like it was some important day (Happy Anniversery!) and they brought bubbles. So I thought I would share some of the bubble fun and madness...
Kincaid found the fun of blowing bubbles into the screen and making it all soapy...yea...thanks for the kiddo...
Corrine jus loved the bubble pipes...thankfully my parents brought about a million of them...I am still finding them all over the house...
Here is Liam enjoying all the bubble fun...yea...he is laid back like that...
Connor was hard to chase down with the camera so here is a slightly older picture of him but you get the idea...always busy and on the fun with this kid!

The Sickies Give Me Such Great Ideas...
So our little lady is sick with the pukies. We are going on the second day and she is finally able to keep down water and medicine. She is still running a fever but it is getting lower. It should really get better since I can finally get medicine in her.

I have become a big fan of the shopping/selling site Etsy. It is all homemade goods---it has everything you could ever want to buy. I found My Kangaroo ( or is it she found me) and she has the coolest thing...

It wouldn't be called work if it wasn't work...
SSSSSSSSSSSSooooooooooo...I had to quit my job---some dumbass came to work drunk and decided it was a good idea to say some really yucky and bordering on harrassing things to me...yea...I didn't think it was a good idea either. So now I have to find another part time job.
So with no job, I have no scrapbooking-cricut-papercrafting budget---gosh dang him to heck...yea...I said it. So next week it is off to a local temp. agency to hopefully find something part time. But in the mean time there is something stuck in my head that I just can get out...
Cricut...well yes...but Cricut doesn't invade my dreams
Crafting...well yes again...but that is just a hobby.
Esty and the homemade revolution
OH MY GOD...I found out about Esty late last year but didn't really give it another thought because I was too caught up in blogging and writing for all my blogs. But now that I am kind of out of that and actually getting into my hobbies again (and have the money to fund them once I am working again)...holy cow. I am in love. People make the coolest things...
like this
and this
and this
check this out
love this
want to buy this
and this
and this
ok...this is the last thing
ok...ok...one more!
And I have an idea for a shop. And here in small town Iowa...I think they need something like this...well...small town Iowa needs all the help it can get. But I mustn't rush anything like I tend to do. I must research, and research some more, and get an inventory up so I actually have something to sell once I start selling. But I can't get it out of my head. My idea invaded my dreams. I don't remember exactly what happened but it involved Etsy and all her homemade goodness.
And besides, if you talk with my man, he will tell you I was to have a home business of my own but have more schemes than a business of my own. Hopefully this will happen and work out!

Mommy Monday Update
So I have been really bad on my blogging since the whole My-Gall-Bladder-and Liver-and Kidneys-Hate-Me health issue. But I have been trying to do better...and to narrow down the hobbies (addictions) I am going to have. And even that has been next to nothing since I got my evening (very very late evening) part time job.
But I am going to do my best to do updates on my family every monday. So here goes...
Kincaid and the horrible hair cut I gave him for picture day---yea---this haircut is saved forever.
Corrine for V-day---late I know but look how cute she is!
Connor lovin' the camera!
Liam lovin' the camera!
This is our volcano weekend project. We still have the volcano and use it alot!
This is short and sweet but I had to start somewhere. I hope to be back soon...maybe even visit some old bloggy friends!

I just can't help it...I think it is an addiction...
I think I can't help but to go too much...
so i have the 4 kids and the hubby...
there is always never-ending housework...
now i have a part-time job (cause we are trying to buy the house we live in and need all the money we can get)
but don't for get the scrapbooking/papercrafting hobby I have wanted to get into for years and now have the little extra money to do so
but now with food prices ( and i think the older you get the more you just have to have one or more of these)...i am starting a veggie garden...kind of a big one. We have a double lot in the little town we live in and there is already a large patch of earth fenced off for just a veggie garden.
So let us review--me and my family

Where are you, beloved stimulus package?
I don't mean to sound like a greedy lady, but George (who know which one) said me and my family would have our beloved one time payment today. So...where is it? I kinda need gas and food--even though that is not what is was meant for.
What about you? Have you gotten yours yet? Am I the only one wondering and waiting today?

I am so excited...
I am getting more into scrapbooking--it helps that we have extra money for my and garrett's hobbies-- but for our 8 year anniversery...i know...8 years...but anyway...he got me a cricut expression machine...and in case you don't know what a cricut machine is and the wonders it can do...
Click here to find out how awesome it is!!!
My job is going good. The late hours kind of suck...but what can ya do! At least I am getting out of the house!
One thing we all love is netflix. If any of you have not tried it...you should. We finally gave into the netflix lifestyle and we love it. Right now we are getting 5 movies at a time for $30 a month. We mail our movies back on monday and have 5 new movies for the weekend...we love it...and it saves us so much money cause we were spending $100 or more a month to buy moves we only watched a few times. And this way we can see the movie first and then decide whether or not to buy it...we just HAD to buy the Ant Bully...our kids just loved it...but you have to go check it out!!! (and i am not getting paid for this plug...but i should...we just think it is just that awesome!)
The main network I frequent is Facebook. I hope to see ya there.
But I must go now and change some diapers.

Look What I Can Do
Well, I didn't do it...Goofy Girl did...and Goji Juice girl...GO GOJI JUICE! But check out my new look. Now I have to come and post regularly. But now that my new look is officially here, I think I must update those few people (thanks) who still check here sometimes:
So our computer is still possessed by some gremlin. Sometimes it is a virus...sometimes it is a bad hard drive...sometimes it is our twins wondering what that pretty POWER ON button is all about...but regardless...we need a new computer. So on to the next piece of news...
I got a part time job. Nothing too fancy...especially in small town Iowa...I am working at the Spencer Daily Reporter late evenings. I have a very important job...i put the inserts in the paper...Glam-or-ous! But the hours work so I can still get some sleep and have no daycare. And it is 20-25 hours so I can make extra money so we can buy stuff we want...not stuff we need...like my new hobby I have been meaning to take up for a few years now...
SCRAPBOOKING--I have been wanting to do this for years. Now I have finally stopped the procrastination. I have the albums...have the glue...FINALLY developed my pictures of when my 5 year old was an infant...have the pretty paper...have the extra money to fund the hobby...now I am off. Now if I could just figure out the digital scrapbooking--anybody got any suggestions on how/where to go to learn that?!
We got our Land Rover fixed. And we bought a fuel-awesome car over the winter. So now my hubby can start the hobby he has wanted to start for some time---Decking out his landrover to go off roading. Yea...it is only alittle bit more than my hobby (GULP) but our Land Rover is awesome...best 4X4 truck on the planet! Or so I have been told.
But there it is...The past few months in a nutshell. So what if the making money with blogging fell through so far. I have met some fantastic people/bloggers/mothers/fathers/shewhobloggers/fun mondayers/kids registry-ers/momisoders/ningers/lil mousers/and anyone inbetween-ers. Now that my health is better and I am at least making $$$ somehow with no daycare, I can just blog...for the sake (addiction) of blogging.

I am back, baby!
Hello again everyone! I am so sorry I just disappeared like that. I had some personal health problems I had to take care of. Then, our computer decided to do a slow death. So we had to start replacing parts and wiping hard drives.
Yes, I am in blog mourning for all of my blogging stuff I lost in the wiping of our computer.
But I am back...as long as we can stay ahead of our breaking computer. I do, however, have to re-evaluate my problogging, my number of blogs, and all that jazz. The burning the candle at both ends probably didn't help my health any either. But I just wanted to let everyone (if there are any readers left) know I am back but some things are changing. But just keep coming back!

Friday is like Saturday and Saturday is like Sunday
Being a SAHM but WAHM too sometimes makes me feel like the days just roll into another.
When I was a working mom out of the house(FYI - I am working my tail off more now than ever). I use to count the hrs down until it was friday. I knew the weekends were going to be filled with my kids and I cherished the thought.
Two years later and one more child.....
I forget the day of the week I am in
I forget the date
I am just going, going, going and going. I am on the run. Chasing my little beauty and my little prince.
I am thinking...do I need to do the laundry again?.
I am thinking....what's for dinner?
I am thinking....geez this place is a mess...AGAIN!
I am thinking....what did I come in the kitchen for?
I am thinking....does she have a ditry diaper again?
I am thinking....Is it time to pick up my son from preschool already?
I am thinking....GEEZ...I would love to go to go see two movies in a row.
I am thinking....GEEZ...I would love a vacation.
I am thinking....GEEZ...I wish I had a babysitter twice a week.
I am thinking....GEEZ...Get up and go to the gym!!
I am thinking....GEEZ..I am tired
I am thinking....GEEZ...you have to be a little more like Cathi Collins and be a networking machine to get MYKIDSREGISTRY.com popping!!
I am thinking....WHY ARE YOU THINKING SO MUCH!!!
Lastly...I am thinking....GEEZ....I LOVE MY KIDS because they get me thinking...

Two years ago today
Today marks two years since my mother - in - law passed away.
Maybe this is a little bit of what blogging is all about. A little journal...except it is for everyone's eyes.
My mother -in- law was a very spiritual, unique, warm, loving and fearless person. She was 100% Native Amercian Indian. She was a strong woman. She raised my husband, her son all by herself. He is an only child. She did the best job she could. She raised a warm loving man.
We miss her tons and I am sure she misses us. She was a personal shopper for FAO Schwartz and Toys R Us in Manhattan. So for me, it sometimes amazes me that I am in the kid business. I enjoy making children smile. I always think "Dena would have loved Mykidsregistry". She would have been my biggest fan and my biggest recruiter. She was dynamic sales person. She was infectious. She use to shop for tons of celebrities. She loved that world. She was once a back up dancer for James Brown...back in the 60's.
Before my son was even born she was shopping for special momentos and some quite big momentos. When I was pregnant I had a little mini baby shower all to myself with my husband. At the time it was so overwhelming. I was always thinking about her and wanting her to save her money for later in life. She was a spender. She was buying boy things, girl things etc..
She was able to spend some time with her grandson but not enough. She just loved him so much. Her son the prince was replaced with a younger model. :)
We found out we were pregnant with our daughter the night we held funeral services.
It was a tragic passing. She was hit by a hit and run driver.
Today, I am so glad she was a spender. I am still pulling things out from the attic. My daughter's room is filled with memories from grandma in heaven. My son too - he is very aware of who grandma in heaven is....
I share this story with MKR members as a little reminder to appreciate the ones you love everyday and make the most out of creating memories

fraud, ladder flying friday
Don't think I am crazy but every once in a while I check out http://www.astrologyzone.net/. I enjoy astrological readings and usually absorb it all in fun...
This morning I get a call from one of my credit cards saying that there has been some unusual spending. I am thinking to myself "Well...I know it's not me because I am on complete lockdown!" NO SPENDING! I was somehow in Baltimore yesterday and went crazy at Staples, then I bought some groceries, but not just some groceries but enough for a party. The charges went on. I was asked "Are you sure you these aren't your charges ?" OF COURSE!!!!! From the Bronx to Baltimore....UH NO!!! NOT ME!
Then, take my Prince to preschool. He has not been so excited to go to preschool lately. A little girl either has a crush or just a little angry. She hits him. On the way to school he mentions her name and says "I don't like girls". I say "that's fine but no one is allowed to hit you and I will speak to the teacher".
As we are standing in the door it seemed like MAYHEM in the class. Kids were play fighting and no one was paying attention. One kid is throwing a toy wooden ladder in class..BOOM....clocks my son in the head.
Me: B is not enjoying coming to school anymore
Teacher: Is he alright?
ME: I think he would be alright if he didn't worry about girl hitting him, and where is the supervision to these kids in the morning??? They are out of control.
Teacher: Yes, I have to get back in there
My son: BLAHHHHHH BLAHHHHH so and so just hit me.
Me: Come on let's go home....(I turn to the teacher) he should not be getting hit at all and he may be better at home today.
My son: No I wan to stay....BLAHHHHH BLAHHHHH
Me: O.K...
Teacher: He'll be fine...I will watch him closely and keep so and so away from him.
It's movie day today and we are going to have popcorn. Everyone in the school sits in the auditorium and we watch movie.
Me: Not a fan of watching movies in school, he could do that at home. He has a hunger for learning letters and numbers. He needs to be a little more challenged. (They were going to watch Dora). They do this once a year - so I am told.
I left the school with some discomfort....Picked him up and he seemed to be fine, no bruises and no tears. They changed the movie to a more educational one.
Will pick up the conversation with the teacher another day.
O.k. so back to my astrologyzone.net - it said I was going to experience fraud and that someone was going to try and steal my identity. Said a bunch of other stuff and drawing a blank. The Preshcool convo was just a venting side bar::))
